Egyptian Child Mummy (not the dump one, however)
Egyptian Child Mummy (not the dump one, however)

2,000 yr old Egyptian mummy of a child saved from French dump goes on display. A lady cleared her basement and asked the dump worker where to throw a mummy. Fortunately he was alert and it went to a museum. Turns out one of Napoleon’s generals brought it to France in the mid 1850’s. Study shows she was a four-year-old girl named Ta-Iset. The Secret ChordAll the historical fiction at BEA. Even though I’m not going, I enjoyed Sarah Johnson’s excellent post with its short intro to each of the titles. I had to mark a couple titles to read, especially Geraldine Brooks’ The Secret Chord about King David. Fun to see what’s happening in HF. Who’s going to be there?
